Thirty years ago, a young man from Swissvale, Pa debuted his love of music and LIVE performance by singing Tom Jones cover tunes at all Balzer family functions. Several years later, with the money family members paid him to STOP Singing Tom Jones cover tune, he landed an audition and later a scholarship to attend The California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. He parlayed his acting talent into a “lucrative” automobile sales career for the next fifteen years.
Then one day a little known band from South Western Pa gave him a call. They needed a doorman to collect money at one of their gigs. Fifteen customers into the project, they saw that he obviously had talent and and promoted him to head SOUND GUY. Then again, it probably had nothing to do with their sound man quitting right in the middle of the gig.
Jeff is now back with three of those guys from OPEN WIDE who launched his rock career — still looking for that perfect sound.
